Much like tripping itself, becoming pregnant, giving birth, and then stepping into parenthood can be one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of a person’s life. During this time, many people feel called to use psychedelics as a way to go inward, reconnect with themselves, realign, or simply find clarity and groundedness amid the transition. And yet, there’s hardly any researchers or therapists who address this, because there’s simply a lack of clinical trials looking at whether it’s safe. Mikaela de la Myco has made it part of her life’s work to compile existing evidence, anecdotal stories, and ancestral wisdom about the use of plant medicines during pregnancy and beyond. She helps guide new moms and parents deep into and through themselves, in the hopes of reconnecting them with their inner healers.
