MYCOLOGIA
JUNE 24 — 26, 2022

We are so excited to have you join us at Mycologia.

Being prepared is the key to ensuring you get the most out of your time at Mycologia. Make sure you take the time to review the Survival Guide below to familiarize yourself with what to expect.

Mycologia is hosted at Crazy Diamond which is located in the high desert, one hour north of Ojai, CA; 120 miles from LAX, and right outside of the stunning Los Padres National Forest.  Due to its location, the historical temperatures are unpredictable with temperatures ranging as much as 40 degrees between the highs and lows.

Getting here

Crazy Diamond is located up a dirt road off Highway 33  (4.5 miles south of the intersection of 166 and Highway 33). Look for a gold and black starburst sign (pictured below) located on the east side of the road, at the end of the baby olive trees. Turn up the dirt road and follow the arrows to the main entrance.

Stay below 10 MPH as the dust kills the trees.

In the spirit of giving and reciprocity, we invite you to bring a small gift/token(s) to give to someone (or several people) who you connect with throughout the weekend. This can be something you’ve purchased, made, or found.  There will not be a set time for exchanging gifts, but rather, we hope that throughout the weekend you’ll feel called to share or exchange with someone who’s made an impact on you. Think of it as our psychedelic version of “White Elephant”, without the stealing of other peoples’ gifts, of course.

Just 1.9 miles away at the Santa Barbara Pistachio Company. Open 8 am – 6 pm daily.

All food must remain in vehicles to keep our wildlife safe and to prevent bugs.

Environment

We love dogs, but sadly we cannot allow dogs or any pets at Mycologia events due to environmental risk factors.

The high desert temperature range is vast. The days can be very warm and the winter nights can drop below freezing so check the weather before your stay and plan accordingly.

Yes, we provide a buddy heater to each tent. You are welcome to bring your own Coleman 1lb propane tank to use as we do not provide them.

We have two, dedicated areas for fires and our staff manages these for you. Each day we will have a fire made for you; and, we also host nightly dinners around the large bonfire. To protect the land, we ask that you do not light any fires whatsoever.

Outdoors only, but please be mindful of other guests and dispose of your butts properly. Absolutely no smoking is allowed in the tents, tipi, saloon, oasis, and speakeasy.

While we are not in bear country, there are smaller critters such as snakes, spiders, and even some plants which can hurt you.  We encourage wearing enclosed shoes at all times and being aware of your surroundings when you are exploring.  For the most part, they are more afraid of you than you are of them and will steer well clear.

Power

No. Think of it as the perfect opportunity to unplug and truly enjoy the stars.

Cell phone reception is limited in some areas of the camp, however, it is possible to make a call on most networks.

Crazy Diamond prides itself on being off-grid, and as such have very limited electricity. We run on solar power alone and unfortunately we can not charge electric cars. You are welcome to charge phones and small devices in our designated area.

No. We have a battery or solar-powered lanterns for lighting the tents. It is a good idea to bring a battery pack if you need to charge your phone.
