J. bb
- J. bb is a journalist and author of “Gone Trippin", a column aimed at demystifying and destigmatizing the use of psychedelics as a mental health tool of self-discovery, hosted by music and culture blog Grandma Sophia’s Cookies. J. bb has been a psychonaut for 10 years but began to write about his experience with psychedelics after the protests that were sparked by the murder of George Floyd by police. Born and raised in New York City, J. bb attended Fordham University before becoming a special educator in an effort to work with marginalized communities and create more equity in this unjust society. An avowed mental health advocate, J. bb’s writing of psychedelic experiences is rooted in self-care and opening up a conversation about the benefits of these powerful tools. When not detailing his mushroom growing experience on Twitter as @nappylibrarian, he can be found reading or streaming the latest pop culture trend from his Bronx apartment.
